New feature…Formspring me!

So, I tried this awhile back on my now defunct personal blog and no one ever asked me anything. I deemed it stupid and pointless and deleted it and never reconsidered doing it again. Skip ahead a year or so, I haven’t been writing or reading, I have reached the end of the internet and I’m bored… as well, maybe SOMEONE out there has a question… or something?

Anyway, I decided to set up the ole formspring again. If anyone has any questions, comments, ideas, observations to share, please be sure to pop them in that box and send them right on up! I guess…. I will consider a request for writing, like a drabble or a writing exercise. I’m not great at writing on command but sometimes a good idea sparks from something someone said or suggested, so I’m open to it.

Smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em! Wait… that’s not right. Ask ‘em if ya got ‘em. There we go.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Is this not the slowest short week ever? Is tomorrow really Friday? I’m scared I’ll wake up and it’ll only be Wednesday.

PS. Have you ever been to Pinterest? Holy crap, it’s my new obsession!

The first 10,000 words of the year…

A new chapter in my fan fiction serial saga “All I Wanna Do” has been posted at my archive here and at the fan fiction archive here. It is just barely 10,000 words or the maximum that can fit into one chapter on efiction archive software. I’m hoping that since I have the initial travel and the first day down, that I can skip through a few days in the next chapter while still making it meaningful. It has to be about more than looking at ruins. The relationship has to sort of… change… on this trip. At least that’s my plan!

What I liked about this chapter: I don’t know, ask me in a couple of days. By the time I post a chapter I’m tired of reading it. I guess what I liked is being able to write these two really truly in love with each other instead of the biting and fighting I’ve posted before. I’m a sucker for conflict, especially if the guy is nice and the woman is difficult.

What I didn’t like about this chapter: Heavy on the details. Since they’re not “at home” and in a special place, these chapters require a lot of research about everything from what kind of money they use to how a person might get from place A to place B. That takes up a lot of time and a lot of room.  It also makes me susceptible to mistakes.

At any rate, the chapter is up and I need to begin work on Part II, which will cover the rest of their trip and my female MC’s birthday in gorgeous Greece. I’ve been so jealous of my characters while doing research for this chapter.

Weekend Plans.

Write.

Write.

Write some more.

Look for some books.

Leave the house.

WRITE.

I am hoping to get a start on Ch 41 of AIWD. Got some ideas rolling around but the chapter needs a purpose. A goal that I need to achieve in writing it otherwise I will write into oblivion. Maybe some planning tomorrow.

More editing on Calm Waves and Smooth Moon. I made some really great progress last night before I stopped to watch one of my fave shows. Tonight I have been playing around (obviously, with my theme) and enjoying my Friday night.

If I’m reading it right, I should have about a month to come up with something spiffy and shiny for Glimmer Train. I seriously need to start writing things down. I had an idea but it’s now gone. No clue when I am going to learn this lesson.

Beginning to yawn and hallucinate. Time for resting. Work tomorrow.
