… in case you wondered.

This is the blog of Miss M.

Miss M is a fledgeling writer, not focused on being published or world famous, but content to allow the words, ideas, meaning, hope, dreams to flow from her fingertips and leave the world forever changed for having done so.  I must stress that I am an amateur, working everyday toward greatness. This blog is  a record of that journey.

I am 35 years old, a fact that came as a surprise to me. I guess I’d forgotten about that whole ‘getting older’ thing when a birthday rolls around. I thought I was still 34 for months. MySpace told me I was 35– you know in that header, that says your name, your location, your age? I totally called my brother to ask him to verify that I am, indeed, 35. I feel a mid-life crisis coming on.

I am single, I live in the Southeastern US- Atlanta, Ga to be exact. LOVE the city, especially the warm months. “When isn’t it warm?” I’m sure you’re asking this, in your head. Honestly, it starts to chill around November, gets pretty cold in December, January can be miserable, and it stars to warm up again around March. Not too bad, considering I once lived in South Dakota!

I’d like to be a writer. Now, I hear a lot of people say ‘if you write, you’re a writer’. And you know, I don’t know.  An awful lot of people “write” but I just think writer is a different level. I’d like to move beyond “someone who writes”. I think, just as there is a difference between famous people and ‘celebrities’, there is a difference between someone who writes and a writer. And even more so between a writer and an author. Becoming an author would be a dream come true, for sure! I’ll settle for being a good writer, though.

By day I am the world’s best Executive Assistant– seriously. I am. *wink* I am friend, sister, aunt, daughter, neighbor, and that one weird girl that just stares. I can be shy or outgoing, loud or quiet, energetic or lethargic– I don’t have multiple personalities, just a lot of ’sides’.

Well, that’s me in a nutshell. If there’s anything you’re just dying to know, shoot me an email or send me some love via the contact page and I’ll get right back to you!
