a memo is on the keyboard of a computer as a reminder: break
A few days ago, I sent an email that I have needed to send for a long time. In it, I regretfully informed the organizers I would not be able to participate in Indie Love this year, a multi author book signing featuring gobs of talented independent authors.
I’ve typed and erased a number of explanations and caveats. Words escape me, as usual. I’m struggling. I’m taking a break– not from writing but from being Author DL White.
If you were hoping to purchase a signed book from me at Indie Love, reach out to me at authordl@booksbydlwhite com and I’ll take care of you. If you don’t need them signed, they’re available everywhere ebooks are sold for a very reasonable price.
I have appreciated all of your support over the years. I will still be ontwitter, instagram, facebook. I’m hoping to spend the summer doing some fun projects with the fanfiction archive, reviving my love for writing.
Please enjoy another snip from Guy Next Door by DL White.
COMING IN JUNE… MAYBE. PROBABLY. LIKELY.
So… if all goes well, you’ll be meeting Taj and Evonne in Guy Next Door, a Potter Lake Novella, in June. Until then, I’m hoping I’m not jinxing myself by posting a lil snip snip of this book before I’ve made it past the point of no return. You know how it be… sometimes a book just falls apart. I, however, am determined to finish and have this ready for Indie Love – June 22nd! (GETCHO TICKETS – www.indielovee.com!) Without further ado or other procrastination… The storm was already raging by the time I got home. I flew through the short walk from the garage to the house, showered […]
Suffice it to say, life is turning these men upside down and inside out and everyone in the near vicinity is affected. The way this book is set up, Ellis will bring you to the very edge… and leave you wondering, hoping, wishing and praying for the outcomes you need to see in the conclusion of this incredible series.A side note: Not a fan of cliffhangers? Aight, but buy it anyway. Then you’ll be ready when book 3 drops later this year!
I swept my clothes from the chair and heard a heavy thunk as something fell to the floor. I picked up my phone and pressed the button to wake it up. I’d put it on silent when I left the house the day before. The only person that could break through was my mother, but we’d already talked and I didn’t expect to hear from her.So seeing that she had sent me a text made my heart skip a beat. I hadn’t heard it because I’d left it in the living room.
He came by here earlier.
Thoughts of beach trips guide me, of course, to my ODE TO SUMMER, my #beachyblackromance BEACH THING, borne out of a want to write a sweet, steamy, romantic vacationship that also has a little bit of personal drama for both characters that help give the story some depth. Wade and Ameenah are definite #goals– upwardly mobile African Americans who are both making a mark on society in their own way. Bringing them together was fun, a pure pleasure.
Genres: African American Romance, Contemporary Women Format: eBook Source: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ibooks, Kobo I’m proud to be part of the release blitz for a talented writer! Please read on to find more information about Sharon and her new release! A LESSON ON LOVE BY SHARON C. COOPER Some lessons are harder to learn than others. Jerry Jenkins is a player. He loves women. Curvy women. Soft women. He’s unapologetically drawn to full-figured women. With all the beauties in the world, he has no intention of settling down with just one. Not until Rayne Ellison moves in next door. But the curvaceous beauty doesn’t fall for his charm. […]
Format: eBook Source: Amazon Love Grind by Shelly Ellis She’s used to baring it all . . . but baring her heart is a whole different story Down on her luck and broke, Jennifer Dudley long ago traded dancing in the chorus line for swinging from a stripper pole to make ends meet. She’s hoping an offer to come back home and teach dance at her old performance academy will be the opportunity she needs to fix her life. When she moves in with and falls for a software developer with brains, a boyish smile, and muscles, she decides she might be well on her way to a second chance […]
I don’t know if it’s fair to say, because I loved the previous books in this series as well, but I feel like author Shelly Ellis saved the best for last. All three heroines left a life behind to work at MacLaine Dance Academy to try to save the place from being shut down. Bina, Monique and now Jennifer find themselves in a place they’d always called home.
Alright, that’s enough of that. *HAH* Seriously, I am wishing as joyous a year possible for you and all those you call your loved ones! I won’t make this a long post, but since it is a first brand new day of a brand new month of a brand new year, I should bring myself to this blog and say hey and talk about 2019 a little. I am not one to make long drawn out goals. I don’t do resolutions (a few years ago I did anti resolutions, things I was going to stop doing. I liked that, might bring it back at some point!), and you won’t see […]
