I Speaking of products, I am natural again after wearing a fro in 1978. I am so tickled as I never thought I would give up my relaxers and my short tapered cut. I still rock a tapered cut….albeit now I am very grey haired and a grandmother. I will be wearing my finger coiks to the big family Christmas dinner. Jingle bells.

I got off work today at 1:30 and I don’t have go back to work until January 2nd. I’m going to enjoy spending Christmas with my family. I can’t wait because I love, love, love family time.

My favorite Christmas story is when I said shit. LOL! I was between the ages of 6 and 8. My aunt and cousin were living with us at the time and she was potty training my cousin. One day my aunt was trying to get my cousin on her pot because she was doing number two. There was a lot of commotion in the bathroom. My aunt was yelling for my mother to come to the door, so I went as well to see what was happening. My aunt was yelling, “Shirley, she’s shitting! Shirley, she’s shitting!” That’s what I saw. I can’t remember how many days prior to Christmas Eve this happened. But on Christmas Eve, my mother and aunt were in the basement wrapping gifts. I woke up and my mother said I could open one gift. I chose one to open and it was a doll. I looked at it and said, “I hope it doesn’t shit.” It was quiet for a minute and then my mother started chuckling and she asked me where did I get that from and I told her my aunt. Everyone started laughing then. I was quite serious and I didn’t get in trouble for cursing. :)

I am blessed to host my family Christmas event. I’m excited about all the family, fun, and games.

  5. My favorite holiday memory is going to get Waffle House when everyone wakes up on Christmas morning. Since all of our youth are old now– like 16 and up, all they want is money, shoes, and new videos games. So once everyone has their Allstar breakfast, we lay around and watch the boys play their new games and nap. My sis and I usually make red velvet cakes sometime in the late afternnon.

  6. I don’t have much to get but everyone is getting a book in my family, so I can’t wait for them to open their gifts. My favorite memory is opening all of my gifts and being upset because my dad didn’t get me the MTV karaoke machine I asked for. I went to the bathroom and when I came back out he was rolling it out for me. I was ecstatic! I don’t know how I’ll be bringing in my New Year but I do hope it is an unforgettable one. The magic is in the unknowing.

#DASSIT And I have a chance to get some totally awesome black creativeness in my life 🤣🤣🤣

  8. A blonde driving a car became lost in a snowstorm. She didn’t panic however, because she remembered what her dad had once told her. “If you ever get stuck in a snowstorm, just wait for a snow plow to come by and follow it.” Sure enough, pretty soon a snow plow came by, and she started to follow it. She followed the plow for about forty-five minutes. Finally the driver of the truck got out and asked her what she was doing. And she explained that her dad had told her if she ever got stuck in a snow storm, to follow a plow. The driver nodded and said, “Well, I’m done with the Wal-Mart parking lot, do you want to follow me over to Best Buy now?”
